First things first – Humans are made up of 60% water.

Every hormonal disruption, from hot flushes to morning sickness and PMS, has a direct connection to chronic dehydration and mineral deficiency.

For every 30 kilos of body weight we need 1 litre of purified water with a 1/4 teaspoon of unrefined salt added to it.

If you think that drinking adequate amounts of water is overrated have a look at a pot plant that’s been in the sun day after day without adequate water.

It goes limp.

Now you see how the cells in your body are feeling after sipping coffee, tea, soft drinks or alcohol.

These are all very dehydrating.

For instance, 1 cup of coffee is so dehydrating that you need to have 4 cups of water to replace the fluids you lose.

Chronic dehydration puts your body under so much stress that it releases copious amounts of Cortisol, as stress hormone that accelerates the ageing process. (Cortisol kills your brain pathways)

Dehydration can also make your body release Histamine, which causes allergic reactions. 

Water transports nutrients to the cells and removes wastes/poisons from the body.

It distributes hormones as well as body heat, so if you often suffer from cold feet while your body is cooking you may need to address your hydration levels.

Water dilutes the blood, and this saves your heart.

The heart pushes the blood nearly halfway around the world (19,000 km!!) every single day!

The inside of your body needs bathing just as much as the outside.

Would you bath in beer, coffee or coke?

Water is the best purifier and the water and salt mixture is a perfect hormone balancing solution to kick start your health.

Secondly, you must avoid Polyunsaturated Oils, they are extremely toxic.

Your body consists of 97% saturated and monounsaturated fats.

Since the 1950’s vegetable oils have replaced many of the healthy saturated oils in our diet with disastrous consequences.

Your body needs a lot of fats and oil for rebuilding cells and to produce the right hormones at the right time.

When you eat the wrong oils you are feeding your body the wrong building blocks.

When these toxic oils are incorporated into cells of our body they can cause inflammation (think heart disease, endometriosis, PCOS and mutation; think cancer).

One of the worst effects of margarines and polyunsaturated vegetable oils is on the thyroid.

It blocks the secretion of your thyroid hormone.

When your thyroid hormone is deficient your body is exposed to increased levels of oestrogen.

Elevated levels of oestrogen may cause mood swings, hot flushes and cancer.

Your thyroid hormone is also essential for making the protective hormones progesterone and pregnenolone.

Just when you need more of these to protect you from cancer, your body is making less.

These toxic oils also go rancid when they are exposed to air.

This doesn’t only happen on the supermarket shelf, it also happens inside our body, where it’s nice and warm.

Free radicals are produced which react with parts of your cells, such as the DNA, causing cell mutations.

The same toxic oils that are used in deep fried cooking, processed foods, cakes, biscuits and chips, are found in the garden section of the supermarket, in a different container.

These seed-based oils are sold as ‘organic’ herbicides.

When you spray them on your garden or vegetation, it dies.

No wonder humans are getting sicker!

These seed oils are the root cause of all chronic diseases.

Processed foods typically contain 21% sugar.

However, up to 50% or more of the overall calories contained in processed foods comes from seed oils.

Another major reason why seed oils are exponentially more pernicious to your health than sugar is that they last much longer in your body.

The half life of Linoleic Acid (the key ingredient in vegetable oils) is two years.

This means that it will take around 6 years for your body to switch out the Linoleic Acid in your tissues with healthy fats!

Healthy fats are saturated fats, which means they remain stable inside your body.

These include all animal fats, like dripping, tallow and lard, as well as butter, ghee, cream.

Their molecules have all the hydrogen atoms it can hold (they are saturated) and will protect your cells, tissues, organs and systems from ageing!

If you struggle with digesting fats, that means your body has to get used to assimilating healthy fats again.

The solution is to go slowly, but stick to it.

Every 6 weeks you have a new liver, and your liver needs fats to get rid of toxins.

After 12 weeks you are nearly onto your third new liver, so by now, your body will be used to increased saturated fats intake.

You keep adding more saturated fats to your diet, and it could take a full year for your liver to reach full capacity to assimilate fats.

Avoid toxins.

Toxins are found in personal care products, pesticides, plastics, household chemicals, mattresses, food and water.

The dirty dozen list of the worst endocrine disruptors are:

  • Bisphenol–A (BPA),

  • Perchlorate,
  • Fire retardants,
  • Lead,
  • Mercury,
  • Arsenic,
  • PFCs,
  • Organophosphate pesticides,
  • Glycol ethers.

Avoid these toxins as much as possible.

  • Drink only organic coffee and teas.
  • Cook in glass or non-coated metal pans (Teflon is highly toxic).
  • Avoid heating or storing foods in plastic.
  • Find organic produce and grass-fed meat and keep your meals simple.
  • Don’t use chemical cleaning products or antibacterial hand wash.
