I was standing in the Purple House Kitchen watching Lisanne work, and something stopped me.
She was building a cake.
No oven, flour, butter, or sugar.
Just her hands, a blender, and ingredients that looked more like something from an ancient apothecary than a pantry.
And the result was the most spectacular cake I have seen in years, and it tasted amazing as well.
On Sunday, 14 June, my daughter Lisanne is opening the Purple House Kitchen
For a morning with a small group of people who are ready to discover what food can actually taste and look like when it is made with intention, skill, and healthy ingredients.
Lisanne has been making raw, whole-food cakes and desserts for years.
People drive from all over the North West Coast just to taste what she creates.
And on June 14, she will teach you exactly how she does it.
The moment you arrive, she hands you a cup of her signature ancient Incan hot chocolate.
Raw cacao, maca root, warming spices, and essential oil.
The kind of drink that makes you slow down and remember that nourishment is supposed to feel like this.
Then you get your hands in it.
You will learn to build a raw cake from scratch.
How to create a perfect crumbly base, layer a silky filling made from soaked cashews, and finish it so beautifully it looks like edible art.

You will taste as you go.
And by the end of the morning, you will have made your very own mini raw cake with your own two hands.
Everything is gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free.
And everything tastes extraordinary.
Here is why these ingredients work so well in your body.
Raw cacao is one of the most nutrient-dense foods on earth.
It is packed with magnesium, which your nervous system is quietly desperate for.
Research shows its flavanols support new brain cell growth and blood flow to the brain.
And in one study, fatigue decreased significantly under high-stress conditions when cocoa flavanols were included daily.
This is not ordinary chocolate.

This is chocolate that works with your body.
Maca root has been used for over 3,800 years.
It balances hormones, supports depleted adrenal glands, and lifts energy in the afternoon without a single milligram of caffeine.
You will not taste it. But your body will feel it.
Raw coconut oil feeds your brain clean fuel.
Raw nuts provide protein, healthy fats, and the minerals your cells need.
Medjool dates, pure maple syrup, and raw honey provide sweetness without the crash.
Every ingredient is chosen with purpose.
Every bite a gift to your body.
You will go home with Lisanne’s personal recipe book so you can recreate the whole experience in your own kitchen.
Plus, a jar of pre-measured ingredients ready to go the moment you walk through your door.
This is not a cooking class.
It is a morning that reminds you that you are worth feeding well.
