A message from Pete’s desk …

We recently had a message from a young mum asking for our assistance.

Her boy, Silas, is getting behind at school and has trouble focusing.

She is under pressure from school, as well as relatives, to have him diagnosed so that they can start medicating him with Ritalin. (Ritalin is similar to Speed or Methamphetamine.)

Can you relate to this?

We all know that ADHD is on the rise.

First, I want to tell you that a diagnosis is nothing but a label.

And once your child has a label, it tends to stick!

What Is ADHD?

According to American Psychiatric Association – Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common mental disorders affecting children.

ADHD also affects many adults.

Symptoms of ADHD include:

  • Inattention (not being able to keep focus),
  • Hyperactivity (excess movement that is not fitting to the setting), and
  • Impulsivity (hasty acts that occur in the moment without thought).

An estimated 8.4% of children and 2.5% of adults have ADHD.

ADHD is often first identified in school-aged children when it leads to disruption in the classroom or problems with schoolwork.

It can also affect adults.

It is more common among boys than girls.

ADHD is diagnosed as one of three types:

  1. Inattentive type,
  2. Hyperactive/impulsive type or
  3. Combined type.

A diagnosis is based on the symptoms that have occurred over the past six months.

8.4% of children are labeled with ADHD, and many of those take Ritalin.

Often the child will be forced to take this drug until he or she is 16 when the prescription comes to an abrupt halt.

The child is now an ‘adult’ and supposed to be out of the woods, as far as ADHD is concerned, but it comes as a huge shock to the brain and nervous system.

The young adult suffers from withdrawal symptoms at best or a lifelong medical dependency at worst.

No wonder Grace, the young mum, was keen to discover natural ways to help Silas so she made an appointment.

Grada and I have seen thousands of children at our facilities and we know how to get to the bottom of these issues very quickly.

We always suggest implementing the Low Carb High Fat diet/Keto Diet, and to supplement with Mighty Mins.

This is recommended for every child (and parents thrive on this too).

Did you know that your gut is classified as your first brain?

Your brain also takes 25% of all the energy we produce to keep it firing correctly.

So a nice steady energy source all day long will go a long way in preventing the symptoms of ADHD.

By cutting out most high starchy carbohydrates and sugars, which give us a “yoyo” type of energy and replacing them with lots (and I mean LOTS) of good fats and oils your brain will remain calm and smart all day long.

During treatments, we uncover the exact triggers that bring on ADHD.

Of course, everyone is unique, and your child will walk away with his/her own specific list of food sensitivities.

This gives you, the parent something concrete to focus on.

Knowledge is power!

This is exactly what we did with Silas, we discovered that he had inherited some issues from his dad’s DNA, and on top of that, he had stuck trauma energy from age 1 when he had broken his arm and needed a GA.

There can be any amount of trauma or triggers in your child’s nervous system and if they are not removed or dissolved, the layers of trauma and stress keep stacking on top of each other, creating unwanted behaviours.

After an hour, Grace had her son, Silas, back; and, this story has a happy ending because after Grace watched me work on her son, she and her partner also received treatments.

They are all feeling so much better now.

The Vital All-In-One is ideal for breakfast smoothies mixed with full cream yoghurt, extra cream, coconut oil plus nuts and seeds (especially Chia) with half a dozen blueberries. (Avoid fruits, because they are full of sugars).

A glass full of this for breakfast will keep your child functioning in a high mental state well into the afternoon.

Left-over sausages or a cold lamb chop with plenty of fat for lunch, and you will greet happy kids at the school gate at 3 pm.

The Might Mins is the kid’s formula for a very balanced multi-nutrient.

Research with Might Mins showed improvement in children’s learning ability by two to three grades over a relatively short period of time. (Activator is the equivalent for us adults).

When Tom, our youngest son went to school the teachers said he was lazy and that he didn’t want to learn.

We knew that Tom was smart, so we organized extra tuition, after school, for him.

This achieved nothing as it was more of the same sort of teaching.

It wasn’t until we arranged for him to have a few sessions with a kinesiologist in Hobart that it made all the difference.

This tweaked his neural pathways, so all parts of his brain started talking to each other.

Tom at the age of twenty oversaw new house builds and he has gone from strength to strength since.

The boy who was “lazy” and didn’t want to learn!

We have seen firsthand how damaging labels can be, and we are passionate to help you get the best version of your child, and we have had absolutely amazing results as you can see in the testimonials.

Don’t waste any more time and book in for a session today.
