However they didn’t treat the root causes because it wasn’t “all in my head.” 

It was SIBO, gut dysbiosis, mitochondrial collapse, and a nervous system on the brink.

Pete and I traveled to Chicago to study under Biomedx so I could rebuild my body cell by cell.

And I did.

Today, I live to help people like you do the same—without taking years off, or paying dozens of doctors to figure it out.

The #1 Problem No One Talks About: Low Stomach Acid (Not Too Much!)

Most people think they have too much acid because of reflux and heartburn, but the opposite is usually true.

If you don’t make enough stomach acid (hypochlorhydria), your food doesn’t break down properly.

It sits there and rots, creating gas, bloating, and fermentation.

That gas pushes up into your esophagus, taking what little acid you have with it—causing the burn.

But the problem isn’t the acid.

It’s the lack of acid.

Low stomach acid also means:

  • Poor mineral and vitamin absorption (especially zinc, iron, B12, and magnesium)
  • Protein malabsorption (leading to fatigue, anxiety, and low immunity)
  • Food sensitivities
  • Undigested food in stool
  • Constipation or diarrhea
  • SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)
  • Bad breath, acne, and brain fog

Worse, acid blockers (like PPIs) make it worse over time.

They suppress what little acid you have, turning your stomach into a breeding ground for harmful bacteria.

But if any part of that process is broken—like low HCL or thick, sticky bile—you end up with symptoms all the way down the line.

How Do You Know What’s Broken?

Here are two checklists to help you self-diagnose:

Signs of Low Stomach Acid:

  • Bloating and burping
  • Reflux or heartburn
  • Undigested food in stool
  • Constipation
  • Bad breath
  • Food rotting in your stomach = loss of appetite or constant hunger
  • Weak nails, thinning hair
  • Iron, zinc, or B12 deficiency
  • Fatigue and brain fog

Signs of Poor Bile Flow:

  • Light-colored or clay-like stool
  • Nausea (especially after fatty meals)
  • Hormonal issues (PMS, estrogen dominance)
  • Skin problems (acne, rashes)
  • High blood pressure
  • Inability to tolerate fats
  • Diarrhea after fatty foods
  • Floating, oily, or smelly stools

So What’s Causing It?

1. Causes of Low Stomach Acid:

  • Zinc deficiency (think: recurrent colds, white spots on your nails, poor immunity, brainfog)
  • Lack of salt (chloride is needed to make HCL)
  • Chronic stress (shifts you into fight-or-flight, blocking digestion)
  • Infections (like H. pylori)
  • Aging (HCL declines naturally after 40)
  • Vegan/low-protein/low-fat diets
  • PPIs and acid blockers

3 Steps to Reboot Your Digestion

Step 1: Restore Stomach Acid

  • Start with 1 capsule of Betaine HCL with your largest protein meal. If no burn or discomfort, increase to 2 the next day, then 3… up to 5 if needed. Then reduce as digestion improves.
  • Use zinc picolinate to support HCL production.
  • Add unrefined sea salt to meals (helps chloride levels).
  • Stay hydrated—HCL needs water!
  • Apple cider vinegar before meals can help mildly acidify the stomach

Step 2: Thin Your Bile

  • Use Beetflow or eat roasted beetroot daily.
  • Add choline 
  • Take a few teaspoons of Swedish Bitters per day
  • Eat more healthy fats, such as ghee, butter, egg yolks, coconut oil, meat fats.
  • Reduce soy, seed oils, alcohol, and processed grains.

Step 3: Clean Out the Overgrowth

  • Rotate gentle antiparasitics like Diatomaceous Earth, Para-fight
  • Use probiotics. Immuno-Synbiotic and Spore Probiotics can be taken immediately. They will help restore the Gut Microbiome. 
  • Add fermented foods like kefir, sauerkraut, or kombucha as a gut RESET
  • Use enzymes like Omnizyme, and Digestizyme with meals to support breakdown.
  • Optional: Use HCL + enzymes + Beetflow for 1–3 months for full reset.

What If You’re Still Not Pooping Right?

Important: Take Ox Bile when you have had your gallbladder removed. 

Final Thoughts: This Isn’t a 60-Second Fix

Let’s be real: it’s taken decades for your digestion to go off track, so give it a few weeks to reset.

This isn’t about finding the magic pill—it’s about creating the right conditions so your body can heal.

Most people don’t need more synthetic supplements … they need to stop doing the things that are blocking healing and start working with their body’s design.
