Feeling stressed?

Studies have found many health problems related to stress.

Stress seems to worsen or increase the risk of obesity, heart disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, diabetes, depression, gastrointestinal problems, and asthma.

Before you get too stressed about being stressed out, there is some good news.

By following some of these simple stress relief tips you could both lower your stress and reduce your health risks:

1. Drink a lot more water (making sure it is filtered).

Dehydration is the number 1 stress.

Have you ever noticed how much calmer, clear and sane you feel after you drink a few glasses of water?

2. Meditation is a great stress eliminator.

Start off with 5 minutes a day and build up 5 minutes every day to the point you do at least 30 minutes a day.

There was a study at Harvard University that showed students who meditated 27 minutes daily not only performed so much better, they were also calmer, less stressed, and had more joy.

27 minutes was the magical number!

You can download many meditation apps that will support you to do it daily.

3. Massage, Bowen Therapy, Chakra Balancing, or Energy healing are mind-body therapies that allow deep stress releases and leave you feeling renewed and clear-headed.

Let just admit it, sometimes we just need a massage, it’s as simple as that!

You might not be able to put your finger on why you need this.

It just feels like something is off and needs to be fixed.

Massage and Bowen help get rid of chronic and acute pain, and brings your best self to the surface.

It could be that a deep tissue massage will get you out of the funk you’re in!

4. Supplements such as Magnesium and Calm Nature act as circuit breakers.

They not only prevent you from blowing up, but they also help your nervous system to recover from stress and shock, so you feel a deep sense of calm and wellness that comes from the inside!

Here are a few more practices I use, for myself, on those days where my patience, stress or anxiety seem thin:

  • Live in harmony with nature.
  • Soaking up the morning sunshine.
  • Sit under a tree.
  • Go for a walk.
  • Play with your dog, cat, or pony.
  • Talk to your goldfish or your plants.
  • Soaking in a warm bath.
  • Singing at the top of your voice.
  • Just breathe – practice breathing deeply and slowly, and.
  • Book in for regular energy healing sessions, massage or Bowen Therapy.
